OUR STORY
Welcome to Georges Bakes. I hope you've had a look around and are enjoying the cakes as much as I have enjoyed making them.
I should start by introducing myself to you. I am not George... I am George's mummy, Lena. I started baking and cake design when I was on maternity leave with George in 2013. I hoped it would help fill my days when I was pottering around, slightly lost without an office to go into every day, and I fell in love.
George was born and I was in love all over again. I started making cakes by request for friends and family and the orders soon started to flood in. I was slighlty overwhelmed by the lovely feedback on how delicious and beautiful my cakes were. I went back to my job and had little time to bake. I also had little time with George and so I decided to take the plunge into self employment. I have never looked back and Georges Bakes was born.
I love what I do and I hope you do too.
